Energy Meters

Energy meters or electric meters are devices in charge of measuring the energy consumption of an electrical service. They provide the amount of energy consumed in kWh, which facilitates the calculation of costs. Some of the meters have tariffs that allow hourly discrimination in different periods.

Our electric meters

In SACI you can find all kinds of energy meters, from simple single-phase single module as the M1DL1, through those with MID certification as the M1DL3-MID, with integrated monitoring as the M2DWIFI-2 meter, or those that incorporate great features by integrating the analysis of many parameters such as three-phase meters TCIDL3-MID, or TCIL2 meter, among many other models.

Thanks to our meters you will have the possibility to control and adjust consumption to obtain an improvement in energy efficiency and a comprehensive optimization of private and tertiary installations. Contact us if you need more information about any of our equipment!

Outstanding features of our meters

Real-time consumption measurement

Some of our meters allow you to monitor energy consumption in real time, which helps you to manage your energy consumption more efficiently.

Differentiated tariffs

Some of the meters incorporate the programming of different tariffs, which allows you to configure up to 4 different time periods to adjust the electricity consumption to the contracted tariff.

All our meters comply with the regulations that guarantee that the measurement of energy consumption is very accurate. Some of them are MID certified, which ensures the reliability of the records thanks to the EN50470-1 and EN50470-3 standards.

FAQS about meters

Energy meters, also called electricity meters, are devices whose function is to measure energy consumption. Electricity meters can be analog or digital and record how much electricity is consumed over a period of time, which allows electricity companies to bill users according to their consumption. In addition, smart meters can provide more detailed information on consumption patterns for better energy management.

These devices measure the energy consumption of an electrical installation. Consumption is measured in kilowatts per hour (kWh), which is a unit of energy equivalent to the energy consumed by a 1,000 watt (or 1 kilowatt) device for one hour.

Within our range of meters you can find simple meters that exclusively measure active energy, others that can measure voltage, current, power factor, reactive energy, etc. and up to 75 parameters in those three-phase devices that also have network analysis qualities.

The main difference between these 2 options is that in direct metering the meter is connected directly to the installation while indirect equipment needs 3 current transformers to be able to measure.

In order to choose the appropriate equipment within the direct or indirect metering options, the only data you need to know is the intensity of the installation where you are going to install it. Single-phase meters are always direct, and reach currents of 50A, 80A or 100A. As for the three-phase meters, the direct ones reach up to 80 amperes and the indirect ones are unlimited, everything will depend on the ratio of the transformer according to the consumption of the installation.

To read an electromechanical electric energy meter, you will observe a series of disks or dials placed in a row. Each dial represents one digit. Once you have written down all the numbers, you will have the complete meter reading. This reading represents the total kilowatt hours that have been consumed up to that point. If you compare this reading to your last bill, you can calculate how much electricity you have used since then.

Smart meters are the digital version of traditional electricity meters. These devices allow a more efficient management of the network and control different electrical parameters together. In this way and through the detection of unnecessary consumption, they improve the optimization of responsible consumption, improving the sustainability and energy efficiency of the facilities.
