SACI classifies 4,676 references from its catalog of electrical measurement and control with the ETIM 10.0 standard.

The Spanish manufacturer provides distributors, engineering companies and installers with the technical information about its products in BMEcat and Excel formats, with all the applicable features of the 23 ETIM classes completed.

SACI (S.A. de Construcciones Industriales), a Spanish manufacturer specializing in the measurement, control and monitoring of low-voltage installations, has completed the classification of its catalog according to ETIM 10.0, the current version of the international standard for the classification of technical products. The project covers 4,676 references, about 90% of its product range, distributed across 23 ETIM classes.

ETIM defines a common structure of classes and technical characteristics that allows describing each product in a unique way, regardless of the manufacturer and the language. For the electrical channel, this means being able to compare, search for, and register products without having to re-interpret technical sheets.

The classification covers the main families of SACI: network analyzers, energy meters, power transformers and analog and digital measuring instruments. In each reference, all applicable technical characteristics of their class have been fulfilled. The work, developed in collaboration with Telematel, has lasted six months due to the high number of technical parameters defining the measurement equipment.

More information by reference

The data are available in BMEcat and Excel format. In addition to the ETIM classification, each reference includes:

  • EAN code and tariff code
  • Weights and dimensions
  • Descriptions and product family
  • Images, technical sheets and CE certificates

For the distributor, the result is a more complete product fiche than ever before, ready to be integrated into their ERP, PIM or online store without manual cataloguing. For engineers and installers, the classification makes it easier to locate SACI equipment by filtering it by product type and technical specifications in digital catalogs and search engines.

“Classifying our catalog in ETIM is making things easy for those who sell and those who install our equipment,” explains Cristina Rodríguez, Marketing Manager at SACI. “A network analyzer has dozens of technical parameters. Now our distributors receive them organized, complete, and in a format that their systems understand directly.”.

What is ETIM?

ETIM is an international standard for classifying technical products. It assigns each product a class and a list of common characteristics, so that different manufacturers describe their products in the same way.

Which SACI products are classified in ETIM?

Network analyzers, energy meters, power factor inverters and analog and digital measuring instruments: 4,676 references in 23 ETIM classes 10.0.

Where is the ETIM catalog of SACI downloaded from?

You must request it through info@saci.es and indicate whether you prefer it in BMEcat format or Excel.

What information does the BMEcat file from SACI include?

The ETIM classification and its technical characteristics, EAN code, tariff code, weights, dimensions, description, product family, images, technical sheets and CE certificates.

What does a distributor of electrical material bring to the table?

It allows you to automatically register SACI products in your ERP, PIM or online store with the complete technical sheet.

What does it bring to engineers and installers?

It allows you to find and compare SACI equipment by product type and technical specifications in digital catalogs and search engines.
