SACI strengthens its international presence with trade missions in Peru, Costa Rica and South Africa

In its commitment to international expansion and proximity to strategic markets, SACI has recently participated in two key trade missions organised by AFME with the support of ICEX, framed within the Sectoral Plan for the promotion of Spanish electrical material abroad.

Of 4–10 June, SACI was part of the Commercial Direct Mission to Peru and Costa Rica, alongside other Spanish companies in the sector. This initiative helped strengthen its presence in Latin America, establishing contact with potential local partners and distributors, as well as gaining firsthand knowledge of the opportunities offered by these two emerging markets.

Peru, with over 34 million inhabitants, is in a phase of economic recovery, with growth of 3.2% % forecast for 2024, driven by sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. The country is actively promoting energy modernisation, creating interesting opportunities for solutions like those offered by SACI. Meanwhile, Costa Rica, with its favourable foreign investment environment and strong commitment to sustainability, registered a GDP growth of 4.9 % in 2023 and forecasts exceeding 5 % in 2024. The country stands out for its progress in renewable energies and digitalisation, sectors in which SACI offers innovative measurement and control solutions.

Subsequently, from the 1 to 3 July, SACI participated in the Trade mission to South Africa, also organised by AFME and ICEX. This mission made it possible to identify business opportunities in a country that, despite economic challenges, shows a clear commitment to clean energy, energy efficiency, and the development of electrical infrastructure.

South Africa is currently tendering for major projects which are expected to involve Spanish participation, particularly in the solar sector, where SACI offers tailored solutions for photovoltaic installations.

These actions reinforce SACI's positioning as an international player in the electrical sector, offering technological solutions focused on the efficiency, sustainability, and digitalisation of facilities worldwide.
