Red Eléctrica Corporación S.A. is a multinational business group of Spanish origin that operates in the international electricity market as an electricity system operator. Its most important subsidiary, Red Eléctrica de España (REE) operates in the Spanish electricity market and accounts for 93 % of the group's revenues (2017). Its mission, as system operator, is to ensure the correct operation of the electricity supply system and guarantee the continuity and security of the electricity supply at all times. REE manages the entire electricity transmission grid (high voltage), but does not carry out electricity distribution (low voltage). SACI collaborates with REE in the supply of converters of all types and digital instrumentation, making its R&D available for new developments to meet future needs.
