El repetidor RT485 es un equipo de comunicaciones que permite la ampliación de un modbus RS485, para aumentar la distancia de comunicación o el número máximo aconsejado de terminales. Recibe la comunicación de un Modbus y la envía hacia el otro bidireccionalmente. Permite la conexión a dos o cuatro hilos, y al disponer de alimentación auxiliar, separa eléctricamente los dos buses de comunicación. Unos LEDs en el frontal visualizan el funcionamiento de las señales.
