AC ammeters with rectifier

Ammeters with a moving coil and rectifier system are designed to measure alternating current (AC) while maintaining the advantages of accuracy and linearity of DC instruments.

The built-in rectifier converts the AC signal to DC, allowing the moving coil mechanism to operate correctly. This results in a fully linear scale and indication starting from zero, giving a clear, accurate and sensitive reading.

It is intended for use in installations where an accurate display of small variations and a stable response are required.
